Note on verse 7:  The strong believer is to accept the weak believer with both their loving attitude and their loving behavior toward the weak believer. 

 

Commands to the Weak believer

  1. ROM 14:3Not to judge the one who eats (meat), for God has accepted him.  ATTITUDE
  2. ROM 14:5 Be fully convinced in your own mind.  ATTITUDE.
  3. ROM 14:13. Let us not judge one another any more. ATTITUDE.
  4. ROM 15:7Accept one another. ATTITUDE.

 

Commands to the Strong believer

  1. ROM 14:1.  Accept the one who is weak in faith, not for passing judgment on his opinions.  ATTITUDE.
  2. ROM 14:3Not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat (meat).  ATTITUDE.
  3. ROM 14:5.  Be fully convinced in your own mind.  ATTITUDE.
  4. ROM 14:13 Not to put an obstacle or stumbling block in a brother’s way.  BEHAVIOR.
  5. ROM 14:15.  Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died - that is not walking according to love. BEHAVIOR.
  6. ROM 14:16.  Do not let what is for you a good thing [liberty] be spoken of as evil.  BEHAVIOR.
  7. ROM 14:19.  Pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. BEHAVIOR.
  8. ROM 14:20.  Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food.  BEHAVIOR.
  9.  ROM 14:21.  Not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything by which your brother stumbles.  BEHAVIOR.
  10. ROM 15:1. Bear the weaknesses of those without strength, not please ourselves. BEHAVIOR.
  11. ROM 15:2.  Please his neighbor for his good and edification.  BEHAVIOR.
  12. ROM 15:7Accept one another.  ATTITUDE & BEHAVIOR.
