Romans 8 is the foundation for our relationship as believers with the Holy Spirit.

Paul is talking about the SPIRIT who GIVES LIFE!

ROM 8:1

the Greek word for “condemnation” carries the idea of both the adverse sentence and the punishment that follows.

There is none of this of any kind for those who are in Christ Jesus - the greatest place in the universe!!

The new things highlighted in Romans 8 are our position in Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

In Romans 8 we see the completeness of our justification, and then …

we are moving on from justification to the rule of the Spirit regarding the LIFE that is in the Risen Christ.

We are in a new position that is entirely beyond the reach of everything to which the judgment of God applied.

- our sins,
Adam’s transgression, and sin in the flesh.

We are IN CHRIST JESUS. And that’s the GREATEST PLACE in the UNIVERSE!

1CO 1:26-31

Verses 2 - 4 explain how it can be that there is no condemnation of any kind for all who are in Christ Jesus.

The reason is that the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus

ROM 7:21-25

verse 2 is a new revelation that answers two questions -

1. the reason why we are delivered from the body of this death.

2.the reason why there is no condemnation for us who are in Christ Jesus.

The answer to both is a new “Law”!
