from verses 5 to 9 we have the negative side of practical Christianity.
Practical sanctification is a partnership.
The Holy Spirit is at work and we are called to participate in His work.
God enables us to act.
We act.
And yet even there, as we act, God is still at work - right in the activity itself.
God does the work, and we do the work.
The positive side is also first and foremost activity of the HEART.
