He gives names to all the stars

Col 1:16

All things have been created by Him, through Him, and for Him.

Joh 1:3

Col 1:17-18

Before He created anything, the Son, Christ, existed with the Father and the Spirit.

Joh 17:5, Joh 17:24

Before the world began, God the Father blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ.

Eph 1:3-4

And He chose us in Christ then also, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.

Col 1:17-18

Christ is the sustainer of the universe.

Apart from His continuous activity, the universe would disintegrate in an instant.

So Christ existed before anything was created.

Then He created everything, everything in the heavens and the earth.

And from then on, He has been holding everything together!

He upholds the laws of physics, chemistry, and biology.

Psa 147

Christ is in total control of the “elementary principles of the world”.

Job 38-39

None of these constellations to which the Lord gave names in the Bible are signs in the zodiac!

Job lived about 4,000 years ago.

But, beginning in chapter 38, the Lord turned the tables on Job!

The Lord lets Job in on some “inside information” that scientists would not discover until thousands of years later.

Astronomers know today that the Pleiades is a gravitationally-bound star cluster.

All the stars of the Pleiades are moving in the same direction at the same speed.

On the other hand, Orion’s stars are not gravitationally-bound.

They are gradually moving away from each other.

The three stars of Orion’s belt are heading in different directions.
