He will bring it to pass

Col 1:21-23

1. What is Paul mean by “in order to present you before Him” ?

“in order to render you holy and blameless and beyond reproach before Him – Christ Himself”

“to render” here means both to prepare and to present.

He will present us before Himself at His Judgment Seat.

2. What does it mean to be “holy and blameless and beyond reproach” ?

It means to be completely sanctified – mature, fully grown.

3. What about that little phrase
“if indeed” ?

“At any rate, if you continue in the faith – and I’m sure that you will”

4. How do we continue in the faith?

We remain grounded in God’s word, persisting in it.

5. What does it mean to be moved away from the hope of the gospel?

It means allowing an outside agent or force to turn you aside from, or to dissuade you of, the hope of the gospel.

“not letting anyone or anything to turn ou aside from the hope of the gospel”

6. And what is the hope of the gospel?

The hope of the gospel is the eager anticipation of the revelation of Christ at the Rapture.

1. What is Paul mean by “in order to present you before Him” ?

2. What does it mean to be “holy and blameless and beyond reproach” ?

This does not refer to justification, or being declared righteous.

The saints had already been justified:
reconciled to God (1:22), redeemed and forgiven (1:14),

and transferred to the kingdom of Christ (1:13).
And Christ was inside them! (1:27)

Col 1:28

So to be holy and blameless and above reproach means to be complete in Christ.

It means to be completely sanctified: mature, fully grown, without spot or blemish.

Several New Testament passages connect our being made blameless with the Day of Christ Jesus- the Rapture.
