A Perfect Inheritance
1 Peter 1
First Peter chapter 1
The book of first Peter is traditionally ascribed to the apostle Peter as is asserted in the opening verse. Some scholars dispute this but there are similarities in Peters speech in Act 4:8-12 as well as other evidence.
1Pe 1:1-2 explains who the book is written to and prays that they may have grace and peace in the fullest measure.
These verses also explain that God according to His foreknowledge chose these believers to be sanctified by the Holy spirit and cleansed by the substitutionary blood of Christ.

The Greek word Elpis here is defined by Strong’s Greek dictionary of the New Testament as follows:
From ἔλπω [[elpo]] which is a primary word (to anticipate, usually with pleasure); expectation (abstract or concrete) or confidence:—faith, hope.
So we can explain “hope” here as confident expectation.
Born again to a living hope
Obtaining an imperishable inheritance
Protected by the Power of God
Joy of rejoicing in this hope
Proof of your faith result glory and honor
Blessings from His grace though we cant see Christ
Salvation by Gods mercy through faith in Christ
Ephesians chapter 1:3-21 addresses much of the teaching of 1 Peter 1, such as God’s foreknowledge and predestination of believers, blessings, redemption through the blood of Christ, and our inheritance as believers.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.
First Peter is written to believers.
These and all believers are chosen by God according to His foreknowledge of their future decision to trust in Christ.
They (and all believers) are sanctified by the Holy Spirit and cleansed by the substitutionary blood of Christ.
We (believers) have been born again to a living hope (confident expectation) of our inheritance through Christs resurrection.
This hope is a perfect and imperishable inheritance reserved in heaven for all believers.
We (believers) are protected by the power of God through our faith.
The proof of our faith will result in praise and glory and honor when Christ comes back at the Rapture.
We should rejoice as we receive salvation as the outcome of our faith.
Therefore because of all this we should prepare our minds for action fixing our confidence on the grace we will receive at the Rapture.
Reject the former lusts of the world, fervently love one another, put aside all malice, slander etc., long for the Word of God.
Acknowledging that Christ is the foundation of all our blessings past present and future.
Remembering at all times the many blessings we have from God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
