“The fields are white for harvest”

 

Now she spoke to a large group of men about Him.

She went right up to the men in the city and got right to the point.

Come and see.

Joh 1:45-46

The Gospel of John invites all people to come and see who Jesus really is.

Joh 4:30-34

Now the disciples misunderstood what He meant by His food.

He was talking about His spiritual nourishment.

Deu 8:3

Jesus fed off accomplishing the will of His Father.

His Father wanted to save all the people in the world, not just the Jews.

He sent His Son on a mission to save the world.

His every thought, word, and action had to be exactly in line with His Father’s will.

Joh 5:30

So Jesus had to get their minds off earthly things and onto heavenly things.

He starts off in the natural realm, using a common saying about the grain harvest.

Joh 4:35-38

But those who ate the bread of that harvest would be hungry again.

Joh 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life;

he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.”

 

Lift up your eyes and you will see a harvest that will bring eternal life to men.

 

They will be sent into these fields, fields of men, to gather fruit for eternal life.

 

The seed is the word of God.

1Pe 1:23

Reaping in John means testifying about Jesus, and bringing people to Him.

Joh 1:34-37

The woman at the well was also a reaper.

Joh 4:39-42

The prophet of Moses and the Messiah of the line of David were one and the same Person:

Jesus of Nazareth.

They proclaimed that Jesus is the Savior of the world!

Joh 3:16-17

The Samaritans didn’t need a miraculous sign to believe that Jesus was the Savior.

His word was enough for them.
