He saw a man blind from birth

Joh 9:1-12

The sixth sign miracle: giving sight to a man blind from his mother’s womb.

Joh 8:12

There is no more complete darkness than being blind.

Mat 6:23

between the Feast of Booths and the Feast of the Dedication (Chanukah).

Joh 7:2
Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was near

Joh 10:22
At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem;

Joh 9:2

If someone has an affliction, it must be the result of sinning.

Let’s be honest.
We think the same way at times.

The general explanation for suffering and death IS sin: the sin of Adam. Gen 2:16, Rom 5:12.

But not every affliction is a result of a sin that individual committed.

Joh 9:3

God can turn the curse into a blessing.

“We”should be “I” referring to Jesus.
“I must do the works of My Father…”

These works revealed the identity of the Son, and brought glory to the Father.

Day is the time which the Father ordained for Jesus to complete His work on earth.

On the night before He died, Jesus told His Father He had finished the work.

Joh 17:4-5

His ministry to the world will be over at the end of chapter 12.

His ministry to the Jews will be over as well.

Joh 12:35-36

Joh 9:4-5

When Jesus leaves the world, He will no longer be light to the world.

The Jewish nation was spiritually blind during the ministry of Christ.

Joh 9:5-7

Giving sight to a blind man proved that Jesus is the Son of God and the Jewish Messiah.

Psa 146:8

In the Old Testament, there is no instance of a man opening the eyes of the blind.

Isa 35:5
Isa 42:6-7

Jesus declares that He is this promised Messiah who gives sight to the blind.

Luk 7:20-22

Jesus performed this miracle quite a few times.

Truly, this is the Son of God.
