Spiritual Gifts Part 121:  Making your body into a vessel full of forgiveness

The Doctrine of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The believer is in the resurrected Christ (baptism of the Spirit) and the resurrected Christ is in the believer (indwelling of Christ as the Shekinah Glory), Joh 14:20.

Joh 14:20 “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

To be in Christ is to partake in all that Christ has done, all that He is, and all that He will ever be.

(1)  We share His life which is eternal life, 1Jo 5:11-12.

(2)  We share Christ's righteousness.

2Co 5:21 “He who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

(3)  We share the election of Christ, an escrow election, Eph 1:3-4.

(4)  We share the destiny of Christ, a protocol predestination, Eph 1:5-6.

(5)  We share the sonship of Christ, Gal 3:26.

(6)  We are the heirs of God and joint-heirs with the Son of God, Rom 8:16-17.

(7)  We share the priesthood of Christ, a royal priesthood, 1Pe 2:5,9.

(8) We are adopted into the royal family of God, Eph 1:5.

(9) We have His life now, Eph 2:5, Col 3:1-4

And blessings await you when Christ returns at the rapture: A resurrection body Entrance into your heavenly citizenship
The believer is in Christ, and Christ is in the believer.

The believer is in Christ, and this governs his position, possessions, safekeeping, and association.

Christ is in the believer as our guarantee of blessing, and His indwelling is vital for our security, motivation, and capacity.

Col 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Joh 14:20 “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

God has chosen to reveal Himself during the Church Age by having the Christ inside you show Himself through you to men and women who desperately need to know that He is alive.

Col 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

GRACE and TRUTH!!!!

There is the reality.   Then there is coming to know the reality.   Then there is coming to live in the reality.

There is Christ being formed in you. (Gal 4:19)   Gal 4:19 My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you

 Then there is Christ at home in your thinking. (Eph 3:17)  Eph 3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;

There is Christ being gloriously manifested  in your body. (Phi 1:20)

Phil 1:20 b Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

We are to carry about the dying of Jesus.  We are to forgive one another, and give others experiences of what God’s forgiveness looks like.

LUK 7:47 "For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little."

Col 2:13  He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

Eph 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other just as God in Christ has also forgiven you.

Col 3:13 Bearing one another and forgiving each other. Whoever has a complaint against anyone else, just as the Lord forgave you, so also you should forgive others.

The cross is the pinnacle of the glory of God. And that is where we all were forgiven.
