Spiritual Gifts Part 122: You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit as God’s signature guarantee of your eternal security
The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts

A. Efficacious grace is that work of the Holy Spirit that takes the faith of a spiritually dead person and makes it effective for salvation.
B. The second ministry of the Holy Spirit at salvation is called regeneration or being born again. It is taught in Tit 3:5; 1Pe 1:23.
Regeneration consists of the impartation of the life of God, eternal life, to a sinner who is spiritually dead.
Regeneration is the ministry of God the Holy Spirit at salvation in creating a human spirit, which causes the believer to become instantly trichotomous--body, soul, and spirit, 1Th 5:23; Phm 1:25.
At the moment of salvation, on the basis of God the Holy Spirit providing the human spirit to the believer, God the Father imputes and imparts His very own eternal life to that human spirit.
C. The Baptism of the Spirit is the ministry of God the Holy Spirit in entering every new believer into permanent vital union with the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
D. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the fourth ministry of the Spirit, 1Co 3:16, 6:19-20; 2Co 6:16.
Just as Christ indwelt the Holy of Holies in the temple in Jerusalem as a guarantee of blessing to Israel, so He indwells us as a guarantee of our escrow blessings.
The filling of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation by God the Holy Spirit entering us into our very own pre-designed plan from God.
E. The distribution of spiritual gifts occurs at the moment of salvation.
F. The sealing ministry of the Holy Spirit, 2Co 1:22; Eph 1:13-14; Eph 4:30.
The sealing ministry of God the Holy Spirit is God’s final stamp of approval which guarantees that you will be in heaven forever.
Sealing with the Spirit means that God the Holy Spirit, by virtue of the fact that He indwells us permanently, is the seal placed by God the Father upon every believer,...
… marking us with His ownership, approval, protection, and signature guarantee of our eternal security.
Whenever you think of the sealing ministry of God the Holy Spirit, think “eternal security”.
