What is discernment?

Discernment is being able to determine what is coming from the thinking of Christ and what is coming from doctrines of demons, 1Ti 4:1.

The all-important fruit of satan’s pride is the fact that “he does not stand or abide in the truth”.

If you are not a believer, he wants to blind you to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, 2Co 4:3-4.

If you are a believer, he wants to prevent you from growing up spiritually and glorifying God in the Angelic Conflict.

What does the Bible dogmatically say about what satan is trying to accomplish in the area of sex?

If you were to take a poll of 100 Christians or 100 pastors…

Perhaps some would say – pornography.
 Others – homosexuality,
 or adultery,
or pre-marital sex,
or perversions of various kinds.

When do we get to play OFFENSE?
 
Answer: the marriage bed!!

Heb 13:4
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled;

There is just one place in the bible where satan/the devil and sex appear together in the same verse.

When God restored planet earth and created a wonderful garden, He kept saying that things were GOOD!

What was the one thing in the garden that God said was NOT good?

for the man to be alone…

That sex outside of the marriage bed is exciting and pleasurable and hip..
 

 …while sex INSIDE the marriage bed is BO-OR-RING … and an afterthought and a drag.

satan is working overtime to get married believers to stop having and enjoying sex!!!!!

Don’t EVER remind them of how crazy they once were for each other…

The most effective thing the church can do to have victory in the area of sex….

…. is to do everything possible to encourage married couples to have great sex together on a regular basis!!!

When it comes to sex,
The marriage bed is the only game in town!

Sex –reproduction – provided for the progeny of the woman, and one day that would lead to the Savior being born.

The Jewish race got its start from miraculous sex.

They understood that God created sex to be a pleasurable, luxurious blessing for the married couple.

The Hebrew word for pleasure is
eden  
This is the name of the garden that man and woman lived in before the fall.

satan realizes that all he has to do is destroy healthy sex between married couples….and all these other perversions will flourish all by themselves!!!

satan’s strategy with humans has always been to get them to focus on that which is prohibited.

Gal 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
