John Farley Thursday, December 29, 2011 Spiritual Gifts Part 209: Nevertheless, not I but Christ runs in me.The word for “race” in Heb 12:1, agona, is in other places translated as a “fight”. We have 3 verbs exhorting us to move forward and upard in our spiritual life.
2Ti 2:22 Both lifestyles – the life style of the love of money, and the life style of the love of the brethren – require finances. It comes down to what you do with it, and whose agenda you’re running.
“run” = present active subjunctive of trecho;
“run” = trecho;

Heb 2:10 The race is the advance in the Christian spiritual life in time. The time frame for us to complete our race begins with faith in Christ and ends with our physical death or the Rapture. The objective is described as resurrection life in time, supergrace, and spiritual maturity.
God the Holy Spirit’s objective: (Pastor Clark) which makes manifest the life of Christ in us so that we are an exact mirror image reflection of the humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ before our physical death.
