Spiritual Gifts Part 224: When holding on to Christ is more vital than breathing.

All the action now is in the phrase “I live by faith in the Son of God”. This is how we run our race.

The old man has left his garbage in two places: human bodies (the old sin nature) and human souls (human viewpoint).

Satan has done a fantastic job polluting this world with the trash talk of the old man.

From the time that Adam fell, God went to work, and His strategy was to do away with the first Adam and replace him with the Last Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our role is simple – a continual life marked by faith, trust in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us.

The new life that we receive at the moment of our rebirth is a life that has Christ as its center.

Satan is trying to ratchet up this old world system as much as he can to try to prevent believers in these last days from growing up to be friends of God.

We are to give our sin nature the same rights as a corpse.

Faith means turning to Christ and saying, “I turn this completely over to You”.

The Greek verb for “live” is in the present active indicative.

“faith” = πίστις
pistis
synonymous with trust or belief.
 It is trust, dependence, reliance.

It literally means
“in the sphere of faith or in
the atmosphere of faith”.

Heb 11:1
Now faith is the title deed of things hoped for, the proof of things which are not being seen.

[Wuest translation]

By God’s grace, there will come a day when believing, trusting in, holding on to a promise from and about the Son of God will be as vital to you as breathing.

Does it lead to the manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ?

The love of God found its perfect expression and its perfect object in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mat 17:5
Behold, a voice out of the cloud said,
“This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”

Son 6:3
“I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine,
He who pastures his flock among the lilies.”
