Spiritual Gifts Part 252: The REWARD of the Inheritance.

Col 1:11 strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness [hupomone] and patience [makrothumia]

Col 1:12
joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

God is at work producing mature sons who can step in and take on the amazing calling and destiny He has waiting for those who love Him.

These differences are spoken of in the Bible in terms of rank, rulership, reward, recognition, privilege, and intimacy.

1. Rank:
twelve thrones, first and last.
Mat 19:27-30

2. Rulership:
10 cities, 5 cities, no cities; sitting down on Christ’s throne to rule with Him.
Luk 19:11-27; Rev 2:25-29; Rev 3:21

The enemies of the nobleman (unbelievers) get slain (lake of fire), while the slaves (believers) either receive a reward or suffer loss of reward depending on the business that they do with what the Master has given them.

3. Reward:
to each according to his deeds; crowns.
