What is Christmas all about? What’s Christmas about? If we can find that thing about Christmas that survives no matter what and is permanent, then we have found a reason to be joyful and triumphant. When it comes to the world’s presentation and production of Christmas, it is over-promise and under-deliver.
2Co 5:17 What does Christmas mean to God?
Christmas is all wrapped up in one Hebrew word - Immanuel, God-with-us.
Isa 7:14
Immanuel. God with us. The Incarnation is a member of the Godhead entering permanently into the human family and becoming part of it. He is the Second Person of the Trinity, God the Son, who became incarnate, not the Father or the Spirit.
He is unique among the Trinity because He is also man. So now if you want to know what God is like all you have to do is find out what the Son of God in human flesh is all about.
His mission ultimately was to present in human flesh the love of God for humans.
Rom 5:8
So Christ became our kinsman redeemer by being born into the human family.
Luk 19:10
1Ti 2:5-6
On the humanity of Christ depends:
3. His fulfillment of the promise to David of a descendant to sit on his throne
