“Keep Christ in Christmas”

You can be fighting out there to keep Christ in Christmas and lose sight of Him in your own heart.

Instead of concentrating on trying to force this godless world to ape a Christmas it does not understand, …

… let’s be occupied with being the fullness of Christ in this world.

If you are looking for Jesus in the secular, cultural Christmas, then you’re looking for Him in the wrong place.

Nothing can keep Christ out of Christmas if we strive to be the body of Christ this Christmas.

Keep Christmas in Christ.

As people who are IN CHRIST, how ought WE to be KEEPING CHRISTMAS?

In other words, make EVERYTHING you do this Christmas be about Christ.

1Co 10:31
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

When the world meets people who are really living like this, there is no way to keep Christ OUT of Christmas.

You know what you have in Christ.
Show it to somebody who needs it this Christmas season.

Christ was born so that He could proclaim liberty to the captives.

It’s the time when we are to go out into the world and proclaim this liberty to people who are in the bondage of sin and death.

There are so many people living in darkness, and they desperately need to know that God is with them. That God is for them.

You can study the map; that makes you a geographer.

Or you can use the map to take a journey; that makes you a traveler.

A traveler on the other hand is someone who takes that information and ACTS on it.

Everybody who was on the scene with Jesus was more than a geographer. They all had to TRAVEL to get to Bethlehem.

There are plenty of Christians today who are only geographers when it comes to the Bible and the Christian life.

They stop short of actually TAKING THE JOURNEY.

The faith that leads to our taking possession of the full inheritance includes taking ACTION.

So this Christmas, resolve to be like the shepherds and the magi. Be travelers rather than simply geographers.

So how do we bring Christ to the people of the world this Christmas??

The New Testament epistles have a lot of helpful practical things to tell us about this.
