“I have not come to call the righteous…”

Rom 3:28
For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

By grace through faith, or
By law through works.

Since we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, since there is none righteous, not even one…

Faith is the ONLY genuine road to salvation, and way to God. Faith in Christ.

3. “The Righteousness of God through Faith in Jesus Christ.” (Rom 3:21 - 4:25)

5. “To God be the Glory” (Rom 9-11)

6. “Love One Another” (Rom 12:1 – 15:13)

GOSPEL!

2. “There is none righteous, not even one.” (Rom 1:18 - 3:20)

Make sure that each one of us knows for certain that we are one of these lost ones: all of us are sinners, all sick, all captive, all afflicted.

When a person with an open heart reads Rom 1:18 - 3:20, he or she grows more grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Jesus has really saved us from is the wrath of God.

The more we grasp the wrath of God, the more we see just how wonderful the righteousness of God which comes by faith REALLY IS!

God takes ungodliness and unrighteousness PERSONALLY.

Ungodliness is the direct disregard of God. It is the reversal of our proper relationship to God.

Unrighteousness is refusal to be ruled by God. It is wickedness of conduct. It is behavior that is contrary to God’s established standard.

There is a causal relationship between ungodliness and unrighteousness.

Ungodliness leads to unrighteousness. Ungodliness comes first.
