What believing in the resurrection means.

Romans 4:25 connects our justification with the resurrection of Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Believe in HIM who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

God declares righteous the ungodly sinner who believes because the blood of Christ has redeemed us and propitiated God.

However, when it comes to what we are asked to believe for justification, the focus shifts to the resurrection.

Believes that God raised Jesus the Lord from the dead.

Believing in the resurrection is essential to being justified.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is of central importance to the entire letter of Romans.

The gospel is about Jesus Christ who is declared to be the Son of God by His RESURRECTION from the dead!

the faith that saves is not faith in the act of resurrection, but in its meaning, its importance!

One who believes in the resurrection believes first of all that his own personal sins sent Jesus to the cross,…

…and to the tomb, and Jesus was the all-sufficient sacrifice for sins.

The blood of Christ was accepted as the ransom price for our sins, and so Jesus was raised again.

So he who really believes in the resurrection believes that the guilt of his sins is canceled!

He died on account of our sins.
He rose on account of our justification.
