The power of grace is MUCH GREATER than the power of sin.

Paul takes the opportunity in these two verses to give us an amazing summary of the whole Gospel.

Rom 5:20-21 is a compact summary of everything covered to this point in the letter.

Romans 6, 7, and 8 are an extended commentary on verses 20 and 21 at the end of chapter 5.

The reign of grace is the subject of Romans 8.
