the mission of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is sharing the love of Jesus Christ through aviation and technology…

…so that isolated people may be physically and spiritually transformed.

MAF operates a fleet of 52 light aircraft from 15 bases in six countries in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, and Latin America.

Each year, they fly over two million nautical miles to speed the work of some 600 Christian and humanitarian organizations.

MAF flights support indigenous churches and local evangelists, create access to medical care, provide disaster relief, ...

…and make community development projects possible ... in some of the most remote places on earth.

Practical Christianity, part 2. Introduction to the letter of James.

We remain accountable to God after being made His child.

Romans 12 marks a major shift in the book of Romans, from teaching to commands.

It deals with practical Christianity, how we are to live.

Romans 12-15 is very similar to the letter of James.

James gives exhortation. Clear and direct commands. Very concise.

The letter of James contains a higher frequency of imperative verbs than any other New Testament book.

The closest parallel to James in the New Testament is in Rom 12:9-21.

We are accountable to God our Father for our obedience or disobedience to the commands in the New Testament.

We will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. We will face a judgment.

The judgment will be based on deeds done in the body, whether good or bad.

Rom 14:10-12

1Jo 4:16-21

James is different from Romans 1-8 both in style and outlook.

The word of God judges us, not the other way around.

James uses certain words differently from how they are used in the book of Romans.

2Ti 3:14-17

Hear the word of God from James, and let it teach us.

Let it reprove us. Let it correct us.
Let it train us
in righteousness.

The word “reproof” means chastisement or admonishment.

The Greek word appears only here in the New Testament and it means an expression of strong disapproval.
