Practical Christianity:
What is saving faith? Part 4.

Jam 1:1-4

We are now considering that word “faith” in verse 3.

What is real, Biblical faith? What is Christian faith?

Eph 1:13-14

Those who are saved listened to the message of truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1:13)

1Co 15:3-4
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, …

1Co 15:3-4
…and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures

The saint listened to the gospel, believed in Christ, and then was sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Eph 2:1-10

Mat 18:1-6

Mar 10:13-16

Let’s begin where Jesus told us to begin, and that is from the eyes of a little child.

A little child of God would agree to return to what it was like to have been that unbeliever…

that unbeliever coming to faith in Christ…

But only after …

But only after he was built up and reassured about the unfailing love of his Father.

Rom 8:31-39

OK saving faith: How would a little child see this?

How do I become a little child?

By being born again.

1 Peter 1:3-2:3

First, the natural man, the unbeliever, cannot understand the things of the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18-2:16
