The prize

Colossians 1:28-2:3

They must have a great goal, a dream, something they are strenuously working to achieve.

Paul sees a prize,
off in the distance,
at the far reaches of the horizon.

There are a number of passages in Colossians that describe different aspects of this prize.

COL 1:3-6

As we go along, we will note the words that Paul uses when he talks about this future goal or prize.

Here Paul describes the prize as the HOPE.

The thing that one expects and looks forward to in view of the measures taken to ensure its fulfillment.

COL 1:9-12

Here the key word is

COL 1:21-23

The key words are HOLY and BLAMELESS and BEYOND REPROACH.
