Spiritual Gifts Part 18: Arrogance inevitably breeds antagonism.

The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts

Point 1: Setting the scene for Paul’s teaching on the Spiritual Gifts.

The world is a system of thinking that exalts self and opposes the Lord God.

Satan is the master of deception, and he loves to cause division and blind God’s people , especially from what he is doing behind the scenes.

Deception is the invasion of the soul, especially the mind, emotion, and self-consciousness of the soul.

Satan and the cosmic system tell people to live by those false concepts and they will be free.

The world will try to convince you that independence from God is real freedom.

Independence from God means slavery to satan... to the cosmic system...
to sin, to the fallen self...
and to death.

The most free you can be as a human being is to live as a slave of Christ Jesus.

Anything that causes confusion and division and splits your thinking is cosmos diabolicus, of the devil’s world system.

The greatest form of freedom for human beings is obedience to the mind of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The “world” or the cosmic system is Satan’s classroom for deception.

The term “cosmic system” is derived from the Greek word kosmos which means more than just the world; it refers to a system, a system of thinking, a lifestyle.

JOH 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Kosmos
1. An apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, or government
2. Ornament, decoration, adornment

Kosmos
3. The ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ
4. World affairs, the aggregate of things earthly

Kosmos
5. The whole circle of earthly goods, endowments, riches, advantages, pleasures, and so on, which, although hollow and frail and fleeting, stir desire, seduce from God and are obstacles to the cause of Christ.

The cosmic system is this ornate, beautiful, intricate, potent FAKE.

The cosmic system COUNTERFEITS God’s divine order, as well as His system for blessing people.

Fallen man thinks that he can regain his lost glory by climbing the cosmic ladder.

The cosmic system is Satan’s strategy as the ruler of this world to control believers.

Satan has been able to compile a cosmic system which is a mass of thoughts, opinions, speculations, systems of false doctrines, panaceas, plans, systems of all categories for deceit, policies, and objectives by which Satan seeks to control the world which he rules.

a. Cosmic one is Satan’s exploitation of believers through their own arrogance.

Satan invented arrogance, for arrogance was his original sin.

b. Cosmic two is Satan’s propaganda and indoctrination college to educate and promote antagonism toward anything related to God, especially the grace of God.

Cosmic one represents satan’s attitude at the time of satan’s prehistoric fall, Isa 14.

Cosmic two represents satan’s attitude at the time of Adam’s fall in the garden of Eden.

GEN 3:4-5
"You surely shall not die! "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Cosmic one emphasizes arrogance and abnormal preoccupation with self.

Cosmic two emphasizes antagonism and intolerance toward the plan, purpose, and will of God, as well as toward all Christians executing it.

Cosmic one is satan’s philosophy in the prehistoric angelic conflict.

Cosmic two is satan’s philosophy in human history as the ruler of this world.
