What is the gospel of John about?

So that YOU may believe.
And that by believing YOU may have life.
What does John mean by a sign?
A sign is a miracle that points to something even greater.
These signs revealed the hand of God in the miracles that Jesus performed.
This in turn revealed that Jesus is actually the Son of God.
He is God.
These signs were performed so that people may believe.
Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
To believe is to be convinced about the truth of something or someone.
pisteu/w. to have faith (in someone or something), to credit, to entrust.
It means to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to place confidence in.
This word pisteuoo is found 98 times in the Gospel of John.
That Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ: the Jewish Messiah.
The promised King of Israel who will sit on the throne of David forever.
So that you may believe that Jesus is God.
“I am” means that He has always existed. Or. in other words, that He is God.
