God with us

Merry Christmas!

Let the real story of Christmas pull you in.

LUK 2:1-20

Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.

It’s simple. A baby, wrapped in clothes, and lying in a manger.

The fuss was created by angelic messengers sent from God.

The angel Gabriel had appeared to Mary nine months earlier.

LUK 1:26-35

The angel Gabriel told Mary what name she was to give to her newborn: Jesus.

This baby, called Jesus by His mother,
will also be called -
the Son of God.

Later on, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph, Mary’s fiancé.

MAT 1:18-25

To Joseph, this angel revealed that this Child will save His people from their sins.

ISA 7:14

This baby will have a third name - Immanuel. It means “God with us”.

Jesus

Colossians 2:9

Why did God’s Son become a human baby, Jesus?

MAT 1:21

To save the people from their sins.

He needed a body to do that.

1PE 2:24

He was buried.
His human body,
now crucified, dead, was buried.

He was raised from the dead with a supernatural, glorified, human body.

HEB 2:14-18

So now, God’s Son, dwelling in flesh, pleads for us before His heavenly Father.
