If you believe, you will SEE the glory of God

JOH 11:1-45

This is the seventh and final sign miracle that John records in his gospel.

1.The importance of prayer.

Prayer is a gift.
It is essential.

2.The second lesson concerns death.

The Lord came to earth to conquer death.

Once we learn this lesson, we need not fear any evil.

3. The third lesson is the lesson of love.

Love is powerful. It is more powerful than death. (Song 8:6-7)

1JO 4:16-19

Banish fear from your heart. Realize how much God loves you.

4. The lesson of glory.

Through whom was God glorified by more that day:
Thomas, or Lazarus?

But how did Lazarus glorify God?

He glorified God by dying and by remaining dead for four days!

2CO 12:9

God is glorified through our weakness, not our strength.

EPH 3:20-21

Jesus brought the most glory of all to His Father that day.

  1. By remaining in Bethany beyond the Jordan for two more days.
  2. By walking in the right direction.
  3. By praying.
  4. By speaking the truth, no matter the consequences.

JOH 11:4
JOH 11:25-26
JOH 11:40-43

God will work the great works of our lives. We should just do what He tells us.

Others saw the glory of God that day.

They believed that Jesus was sent by the Father.

The glory of God was there for all to see. But not everyone saw it.

If we believe, we will see the glory of God too.

GAL 2:20
