Class Outline:
Paul wrote to readers in the church of Thessalonica about their collective hope in Jesus Christ, which should help color the grieving process.
Our hope is in Christ, too. Our hope is the One who rose from the dead, and that guarantees that we will down the line.
The Sadducees did not believe in any resurrection, meaning they had no hope. Enter Paul: ACT 23:1-12
(emphasis on ACT 23:8)
We can look forward to glorified bodies. The ones we have now fail in a great number of ways.

We will be raised up with him, remember:
There’s no guarantee that you know the end of your life, but you can rest assured about what comes after.
Paul provided Timothy with some clear instructions knowing his time was coming.
Paul, again, was “poured out” — PHI 2:14-18

So were those at the church in Thessalonica:
So were the disciples:
Our physical death isn’t the end. Our hope is in Christ, so we can look forward to a new, glorified body that isn’t prone to physical issues like this ones we have.
Christ rose from the dead, and we believers will rise too in due time. Until then, we await his glorious return. We will be forever with the glorious Lord.
