Last week, we spent time talking about how we have been reconciled to our perfect Father via His Son Christ. With that in mind, we are an now ambassadors for that same Christ.
We are now ambassadors for Christ, as Paul put it (2CO 5:20). Our prayers should be the same as his — that all should be reconciled to God.
As ambassadors, we must make an appeal to the claims of the Bible, which detail the reconciliation we as believers have. What a privilege!
2CO 5:21 says God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
The perfect, sinless Son of God became the perfect offering for sin for us, on our behalf. He is perfect and final offering for sin.
Jesus Christ is a perfect sacrifice for on our behalf. Remember how the people treated the sacrifices they made unto God?

Jesus Christ is a perfect sacrifice for on our behalf. God sent His only begotten Son for sin and judged it at the cross.
Jesus Christ is a perfect sacrifice for on our behalf. He bests the uncountable number of sin offerings in the Old Testament.
Jesus Christ is a perfect sacrifice for on our behalf, and God was (and is) pleased with that sacrifice.
As ambassadors, we are the righteousness of God in Christ. We are righteous via our faith in Him. Those in Him enjoy the reconciliation He provided.
Jesus Christ is the Righteous One:
As ambassadors of God, we believers are the righteousness of God in Christ.
As ambassadors of God, we believers are the righteousness of God in Christ.
As ambassadors of God, we believers are the righteousness of God in Christ.
We believers are ambassadors for Christ, the Righteous One. Jesus Christ is the perfect offering for sin, once and for all, and he has reconciled us believers once and for all.
God has already provided for our reconciliation, available to all. But there is a certain urgency Paul has starting in chapter 6 because that time won’t last forever — we’ll discuss that next week.
