Spiritual Gifts Part 230: Abraham teaches us that there will be many tests of our faith.

“I AM” in the Hebrew is

Yahweh or Jehovah, the self-existent One.

EXO 3:14
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”

Jehovah, YHWH, is the personal name of each member of the Trinity, in contrast to Elohim, which is the name of God from the standpoint of His attributes.

The Jews substituted the noun - ADONAI, because they considered YHWH such a sacred name that they wouldn't even pronounce it.

Three persons are called YHWH: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The link between what He is and what we can be is this:
“he who believes in Me”

“What I AM
is made good
in your life
when you believe.”

It is something expressing belief. It is a going forward with God, confidently expecting what God has promised.

Unbelief sees something in God’s hand and says, “I wish I had that”.

Faith sees it, and says, “I will have it!” - and gets it!!

The progress of Abraham’s life of faith in the God who does the impossible is vividly set before us in the word of God as our example.

Abraham believed on God in view of what He said He would do; we believe on Him who has raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.
