DOCUMENTATION

VOCABULARY

THE BARRIER

There are six elements in the barrier, six bricks if you will.

1. sin. A
2. penalty of sin. A
3. condemnation. A
4. relative righteousness. B
5. physical birth. B
6. position in Adam. B

Three of them have to do with negatives that stood in the way of mankind having any relationship with God whatsoever.

The other three have to do with positives that the believer is fitted with in order to live forever with God in the destiny that God has for him.

1. sin. A
2. penalty of sin. A
3. condemnation. A
4. relative righteousness. B
5. physical birth. B
6. position in Adam. B

1. The barrier of our personal sins was actually removed for the whole human race by Christ’s work of Redemption on the cross.

2. The barrier of the penalty and guilt of sin was actually removed for the entire human race by Christ’s work of Expiation on the cross.

3. The unsatisfied character of God was actually solved for all mankind by Christ’s work of Propitiation on the cross.

The sacrificial death of Christ on the cross completely satisfied the righteousness and justice of God on behalf of the entire human race.

Four doctrines describe reconciliation for the entire human race:
the unlimited atonement, redemption,
expiation,
and propitiation.

ACT 16:31
They said, " Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, [and that goes for] you and your household."

4. The problem of relative righteousness is solved at the moment of faith in Christ by Imputation and Justification.
