Spiritual Gifts Part 346:

In discernment, “we” comes before “they”

The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts

Point 4.
Developing the capacity you need to function effectively in your spiritual gift.

What is discernment?

Why do I need discernment?

How do I get discernment?

How do I use spiritual discernment?

All discernment is performed by the Holy Spirit, using the tools of Bible doctrine already tested and found in the soul, under the exercise of one’s priesthood.

We are to let the Holy Spirit train us to be able to recognize what is going on inside our own soul.

The first discernment skill is to have the Spirit deploy the word of God to consistently and reliably read the situation in our soul.

First things first

  1. Our own thinking
  2. Teachings
  3. Life decisions
  4. People
  5. Angels

A. The order in which we gain capacity over time as a result of spiritual growth.

B. The checklist for our daily battles.
