We have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, who can sympathize with our weaknesses since He has been tempted in all things as we are.
Draw near to Him! You will always receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Mercy - because there is something in your past that haunts you.
Grace - because there may be something today or tomorrow that you can’t face without His help.
Jesus was also tempted in all things as we are , apart from sin.
Perhaps you are feeling overmatched by some lust of the flesh.
Jesus was touched by the temptations of the flesh in every way that we are.
Or perhaps you are being tempted by the lust of the eyes. This refers to desiring things that God does not will for you to have.
By the way, the way that Jesus dealt with these temptations is by speaking the word of God.
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, …
… BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"
