Class Outline:
the mission of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is sharing the love of Jesus Christ through aviation and technology…
…so that isolated people may be physically and spiritually transformed.
MAF operates a fleet of 52 light aircraft from 15 bases in six countries in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, and Latin America.
Each year, they fly over two million nautical miles to speed the work of some 600 Christian and humanitarian organizations.
MAF flights support indigenous churches and local evangelists, create access to medical care, provide disaster relief, ...
…and make community development projects possible ... in some of the most remote places on earth.
More of that glory in a brown paper bag
This glory is not only going to be revealed TO us. It will also be revealed IN US!!!
The glory will be REVEALED, not created.
The glory exists now, but it has not yet been unveiled.
“revealing” =apokalupsis
- a removal of a covering.
We are sons of God now and Christ is in us NOW, and He is the hope of glory!
But it doesn’t look that way for us - because of the brown paper bag covering of our flesh.
We are new creatures on the inside, but God has left our bodies as the link with the present groaning creation.
Our bodies will be transformed and made like Christ’s at the Rapture, but that happens in the clouds.
We will be revealed to earth at the Second Advent, when Christ is also revealed in all His glory as her Ruler.
