Introduction to the Problem Solving Devices of the Christian Spiritual Life

The Spiritual Life Demands That You Know and Utilize the Ten Problem Solving Devices.

Unless you put Bible doctrine first in your life, you will have unsolvable problems in your life.

1. God has already solved all of your problems.
2. Learn His problem solving devices.
3. Live accordingly by using His solutions.

These problem solving devices are God’s. He is the one who performs the action of the device.

The first three problem solving devices are foundational, and the remaining seven rest on top of this foundation.

The Filling of the Spirit provides the dynamics for all the others.

The Faith Rest Drill provides the mechanics for all the others.

Rebound establishes the entrance into all the others.

1. the rebound technique
2. the filling of the Spirit
3. the faith-rest drill
4. grace orientation
5. doctrinal orientation

6. a personal sense of destiny
7. personal love for God the Father
8. impersonal love for all mankind
9. H or sharing the happiness of God

10. occupation with Christ as the priority solution to life.

You were designed to perceive, understand, and apply Bible doctrine, and to learn the problem solving devices in the privacy of your priesthood.

Your benefit comes from learning and using the problem solving devices with the result that you can have great happiness and blessing in prosperity or adversity.

The secret to spiritual growth is to face every situation in life from the standpoint of God's problem solving devices, to utilize them and to grow in grace.

Problem Solving Device number one: The Rebound Technique.

The rebound technique is the only problem solving device that functions when the believer is in a state of carnality, in a state of sin, out of fellowship.

(1) Acknowledge or confess it, 1JO 1:9.

2) Isolate it, HEB 12:15 "See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no root of bitterness sprouting up cause trouble, and through this [bitterness] many are contaminated."

3) Forget it, PHI 3:13 "Brethren, I do not evaluate myself to have attained, but I do concentrate on one thing:

3) Forget it, PHI 3:13 "forgetting those things which are behind [past success or failure], and pressing toward those things which are ahead [the spiritual life that God has provided just for you]."

(4) Keep moving, PHI 3:14 "I keep advancing toward the objective for the prize of that upward call from God [escrow blessings] in Christ Jesus."

Problem Solving Device Number Two: The Filling of the Holy Spirit.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the gift of a Person, God the third Person of the Trinity, and therefore means unlimited potential in residence for the believer.

The extent to which that potential is realized in time - with fruit, spiritual growth, experiential sanctification - is a matter of the relationship between the believer and the Holy Spirit.

The believer is called to obey certain New Testament commands, summarized by EPH 5:18 to be controlled by the Holy Spirit.

There is no human attribute, no system of human success, no talent, no system of works, no system of any kind whereby we have the ability to execute God's plan for our lives as Church age believers.

Being filled with the Spirit refers to the believer allowing the Spirit to direct and empower the activity of your soul rather than allowing the flesh (the old sin nature) to do so.

The Christian way of life is a supernatural way of life and requires a supernatural means of execution.

GAL 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

It is a moment by moment faith and trust in the Spirit to apply the power of the cross to our old self-life and to teach us how to walk as new creatures in Christ.
